The External Office of ASUCM works to ensure students have the right to an affordable, accessible, quality education at the UC. This is done through campus actions to educate the student community and lobbying efforts locally, statewide and nationwide.
Though our victories go unseen, they directly affect students. In the past, we have registered more than 20 percent of our student body to vote in Merced County, won consecutive tuition freezes for our UC systemwide, and have lobbied and secured funding for the Classroom & Academic Offices Building 2.
The External Office is made of the the following positions:
- External Vice President of ASUCM
- Chief of Staff
- Legislative Director
- Organizing Director
- Voter Registration Coordinator
- Organzing Staff
- Legislative Staff
