What is You See Leaders?
You See Leaders is a leadership conference for high school students in the Merced Community, organized by the ASUCM Office of the Internal Vice President. Through a series of interactive workshops and inspiring speakers, we show that the synthesis of leadership and higher education is the key to success. This conference aims to foster leadership in these students, and to connect them with the vibrant university community. By demonstrating how participation in civic activities and activism ties in with the values of higher education, we intend to spark the next generation of Central Valley Leaders.
We are passionate about UC Merced, and will funnel our enthusiasm to motivate the participants. UC Merced cares about the Valley, and this conference is a way for us to show our devotion to our community.
Keynote Speaker: Scott Greenberg

Scott Greenberg has entertained and inspired hundreds of thousands of people with his unique blend of keynote presentations and workshops.
After graduating from UCLA in 1992, Scott accepted a scholarship to attend NYU graduate film school. Within one semester, doctors discovered a softball-sized tumor in Scott’s chest and diagnosed him with cancer. Inspired by his grandmother, a “Schindler’s List” holocaust survivor, Scott beat the disease and went on to run the Los Angeles Marathon to raise money for cancer research.
After starting his own screenwriting consultancy in Hollywood, Scott was asked to combine his knowledge of storytelling with his experience managing adversity to keynote a leadership conference. The response was incredible, and further requests for Scott to speak poured in.
Many years and thousands of audiences later, Scott has presented for students, lawyers, realtors, sales executives, health care professionals, managers, athletes, customer service reps and other groups looking to achieve peak performance. He is published in “Chicken Soup for the College Soul” and has written three of his own books on leadership. Scott has guest lectured on public speaking at the American Jewish University and has developed and/or facilitated leadership and peak performance programs for countless organizations.
Scott has also employed his leadership techniques in his own “Edible Arrangements” franchise in West Hollywood, CA, managing ten employees while still on the road speaking. His store regularly ranks among the top ten grossing franchises in California. In 2010, Scott won the “Best Customer Service” award out of 972 franchisees worldwide.
Scott’s passion for providing nuts and bolts advice to audiences is apparent the second he picks up a microphone. Poignant stories, hilarious anecdotes combined with practical, substantive messages always leave crowds buzzing with excitement.
