The purpose of Associated Students of the University of California, Merced, (ASUCM) is to provide for the UC Merced undergraduate student body in all aspects necessary to create a well-balanced educational experience. In order to be successful, ASUCM must collectively work together to accomplish their goals. There have been numerous incidents of miscommunication which could have been resolved at a more appropriate place. Although, some current Executives do not believe these by-laws to be necessary, proponents for communication and responsibility believe it to be crucial for future administrations of ASUCM.
