Bill #28 El Club de Español, Noche de Carnival Funding Bill
El Club de Espanol is planning on having a cultural carnival of adventure and understanding on November 18, 2011. They are seeking to create a cultural event that caters not only to the Latino/Hispanic community but also to the university at large. This will to be done by creating an environment of interest in the form of a carnival-esque event on campus. There will be a DJ as well as a live band. They are a cultural club that uses the Spanish language to combine all Hispanic & Latino cultures. By using Spanish, they are able to connect with one another using their common heritage. With the Noche de Carnaval event, they are trying to continue that Spanish culture by translating it into an event that could be inspiring to anyone who wishing to be apart of the Spanish speaking world. In addition, this will be the first time they will have the opportunity to open new doors for the Spanish speaking community here at UCM. Therefore, Noche de Carnaval means "Carnival Night" will be a very festive and warming event that everyone could relate to, thus, will also include an emphasis on the Mexican Revolution.
