Status:
In Progress

The BMES annual fall meeting will be co-hosted by Brown University and the University of Connecticut. The convention will offer an opportunity for UC Merced students to meet bioengineers from all over the world and witness the newest bioengineering technology and research. The conference provides an opportunity for both undergraduate students to gain exposure to resume writing, career panels, student leadership, and research sessions which are crucial to career development and provide insight into a career in academia. The meeting will feature over 1,500 poster presentations and hundreds of oral presentations which will be presented to the participants during the symposium. The BMES annual fall meeting will attract approximately 3,000 participants worldwide including practicing engineers from biomedical, electrical, chemical, mechanical, and other engineering fields as well as medical specialists. Undergraduate students can both benefit from the conference by developing professional relationships and building connections with other leaders in research and industry.
