ASUCM Senate Bill #42 – 2009/2010 Latino Associated Students, Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Approved Background: Cinco De Mayo (1862) is one of the most important days celebrated in Mexico and by other Hispanic/Chicano communities all over the world. This will be the 5th Annual Cinco De Mayo Celebration, which has taught many students, staff, faculty, and community members the true history of the Latin culture.
Purpose: This bill is to allocate funds from the ASUCM 2009-2010 General Fund in the amount of $6,087.89 to co-sponsor the Cinco De Mayo Celebration hosted by LAS, which will be used to fund catering and refreshments from Costco.
