ASUCM Senate Bill #34: African Black Coalition (ABC) Conference
Status:
Approved The African Black Coalition (ABC) Conference is a weekend-long event whose purpose is to bring together those who self-identify as being African/Black within the UC system. Each year, students gather at a different UC campus where they are treated to motivational speakers, a wide variety of social and academic workshops, food, and social events. The goal, as a coalition, is to address social and academic issues that Black students are facing and to come up with feasible solutions to reduce their struggles. The 2010 ABC Conference will be held at UC Riverside from April 30 – May 2. The African American Student Association (AASA) at UC Merced will be sending a delegation of 34 students.
